Can one man really make a difference?
That may be what we are thinking, but we must ask ourselves where that mindset has come from. Does that kind of skepticism align with the examples God has given us in His Word? Does anything about that sort of doubt sound like faith at all? If not, who have we been listening to? REUP believes that If we turned our faces and attuned our ears to our Father’s voice, that one man really can make a difference. Our God is a God of second chances. When we are reminded of that truth, it will seem so much less absurd that God could indeed take the ugliness, scars, and junk in our past and use them for good. When men discover for themselves who God truly is for the first time, they will learn that not only is He neither appalled nor surprised by their sin, but He is even able to use the lessons learned in those hard places as a foundation for an amazing future. God wastes nothing. He overlooks nothing. When we put our messes in His hands, we give Him the opportunity to build a life we could have never built on our own.
